What's on every template

Company and customer fields, dated scope lines for labor and materials, drive/trip, disposal and permits, an estimated total, and terms for expiry, change orders and customer approval. The numbers are illustrative starting points — swap in your rates.

These are pricing worksheets and customer-facing estimate drafts. They are not invoices, payment requests or e-sign forms. QuoteProof itself drafts quotes from job photos and does not process payments.

Template questions

Are these estimate templates really free?

Yes. Download the Word (RTF), PDF or CSV spreadsheet file and use it for your business. No email or sign-up is required.

How do I use the template in Google Sheets?

Open the CSV in Excel, or in Google Sheets use File → Import and upload the CSV. Edit the Qty, rate and materials columns, then update Amount as needed.

What should a contractor estimate include?

Your business details, the customer and job address, the scope line by line, exclusions, labor and materials priced per line, drive and disposal, a total, payment terms and any deposit, how long the price is good for, how extra work gets approved, and a way for the customer to accept with their name and the date.

Is an estimate the same as a quote?

Many people use the words interchangeably. When there's a difference, an estimate is approximate and can move with actual hours and conditions, and a quote is a fixed price for a defined scope. Label your document so the customer knows which one they're getting.
